Indirect effects
The indirect effects of a development are those effects that occur indirectly from, but are nonetheless the result of, the direct effects of the development. They may occur at distance from the development, either geographically or in time, or may be the result of a complex sequence of interrelationships leading back to the direct effects.
The term ‘indirect effects’ may also be used to describe effects that relate to indirect perceptual characteristics or qualities such as visual effects.
